Registration and Start

Registration will take place from 8.00am in the event centre in the Sports Centre in Builth Wells, Powys. It shouldn’t take very long as we just need you to sign in and pick up your timing chip. Please note that we need everyone to sign in personally, so you will not be able to sign for someone else.

The event centre has toilets, showers and changing facilities. It will act as the start and finish for the event. Epic Cycles will be at the event centre with a mobile bike shop and will be on hand if you need any mechanical help.

Riders will be able to start at any time between 8.30am and 9.30am.

If you think you will be one of the more leisurely riders, we strongly suggest that you start nearer to 8.30am, as all riders must finish by 6.00pm.

There will also be cut-off times, designed to ensure everyone gets round before 6.00pm, at each feed station – anyone failing to meet the cut-off times will be given the choice of a lift back to the event centre in the broom wagon or continuing without event support and signage. A list of cut-off times will be included in the event guide sent to all riders.

Once you have strapped your timing chip (or "dibber") to your wrist and are ready to go, you just pop your dibber in one of the timing stations at the start and set off. There will be testing stations at the sign in desk for you to check that your dibber is ok, and to make sure that you are happy with how to dib.

The start of the ride is well sign posted, but we will also have marshals on hand to direct you onto the route.
