Event Information

A comprehensive event guide will be posted out to all riders during July in their rider packs, along with laminated bike numbers and route cards. In the meantime, we thought a quick summary of what the event has to offer might be handy.

The Devil Ride is a fully supported European-style cyclosportive:

  • Comprehensively and clearly way-marked route
  • Detailed route cards with Ordnance Survey mapping as backup (and to drool over in advance)
  • Electronic timing
  • Individual times available immediately at the event centre. Full list of finish times published on event website within 24 hours
  • Three food and drink stations out on the route
  • Broom wagon, mechanics and 1st aid
  • Supported by the National Motorcycle Escort Group
  • Photos of all riders available for purchase on the web
  • Gold, Silver and Bronze standards will be awarded, with certificates issued at the finish
  • Stylish souvenir cycling jersey in technical fabric available for £39 (must be ordered by May 14th)
  • "Goody bottle" – a high quality bidon (same type as the popular SIS bottle with the rubber spout) with some goodies inside
  • Bike shop at the event centre before and after
  • Changing, toilets and showers

As part of our association with Orbea we will be offering a brand new Orca frameset (srp £1699.99) to one lucky finisher - the winner will be picked out of a hat on the day as the Devil Ride is not a race and so we won't be giving any prizes for performance.

The Orca has a legitimate claim to the title of ultimate sportive bike - as well as being a superb piece of kit - perfectly suited to fast sportive riding or to racing - it looks like a work of art too. Nice a bad day's outing for the fortunate recipient!
