Accommodation

Builth Wells is home to the Royal Welsh Show, as well being a centre for outdoor tourism in the area, so there is plenty of accommodation on offer.

The best source of information is the Builth Wells Tourist Office website, which is pretty comprehensive. You will also find details of places to eat and other local attractions there. The following provide shortcuts to some of the pages within their website:

Campsites

Hotels

There are also a couple of general accommodation sites that might be useful too:

Travel

Builth Wells is fairly well served by road transport, given its seemingly remote location. We could give a list of driving directions but you will be much better off using Google Maps to generate tailor made instructions. To give you an idea of travel times, we have a few sample Google Map routes below:

Birmingham to Builth Wells

London to Builth Wells

Cardiff to Builth Wells

If you want to travel by train there is a line running between Shrewsbury and Swansea that stops at Builth Road (this is a request stop). However, this does not run on a Sunday, so you would need to come down on the Saturday and return on the Monday - or stay longer and make a holiday of it! Details are one the Network Rail website.
